There is no complete holiday if the place where you stay is not included. We stayed a week in Malaucène and although I did explore the less popular areas around this village to walk Filou, we had almost no time to see the village centre. On the last evening, before the last dinner cooked by D’s father, we went to explore a bit the area. I was impressed that is so pretty, small streets, and many houses built in stone.

Although it did look a bit desolated compared to where the restaurants and bars were, it was nice to walk and explore. Malaucène has a Calvaire hill, with wonderful views above the city and even a view of the Mont Ventoux.
On the way to the Calvaire hill, we encountered some cats, too shy to come to us.

On the way back, we passed a beautiful bookstore. The funniest part was to see a street pot “repaired” with tape, I guess tape can repair everything.
