The day was packed. We started by visiting
Mdina, the old city. This city, once the set for various scenes in Game of Thrones,
greatly intrigued me. It is built entirely out of limestone with narrow
streets, classic statues and grand fortifications. Here we met a colourful
donkey.

From there, we walked to St. Paul’s Catacombs. Interesting
at first, the crypts started to look all alike to the point of exhaustion.
Initially, I thought the catacombs were connected, and once you are inside, you
just walkthrough. Instead, you walk around a kind of a graveyard with stairs
leading down every now and then. In total, you can visit more than 16 different
small catacombs.

After having enough of the dead, we headed to
Dingli Cliffs. I love the beautiful combination of water and rocks.
Before Għar
Dalam Cave, we made another stop at sea – a lovely place, which name I can
sadly not recall. The Cave itself was not very interesting, as there are a mere
50 meters of it to explore. The museum is interesting, though, filled with bones
and history.

The last part of the trip was St. Peter's Pool, where we swam a
bit. I was not very comfortable with deep water. At the pool was one cute dog seemed
not eager to swim but excited to check if everybody was okay (=not drowning).
