Park Fürstenlager

When I started the bike ride with my friend, Michelle, I had no clue where exactly we were going. She only mentioned it will be a longer bike trip, followed by a short hike. We visited Park Fürstenlager, which used to be the summer residence of a count from Hessen. The park is now open to the public and although it was still lockdown the park was open for walking. Since biking there took us quite some time, we did not have enough time to explore all the possible paths in the park, but I hope to return another time there.  On the way there, we lost our way a couple of times because the road bike signs were not always very easy to spot, and also because there are bike lanes in many directions. In one of the small villages, we saw two statues ready for the pandemic.

Ludwigsteich and Steinbrücker Teich

Another nice bike tour to the Ludwigsteich, but this time, we came back a different route. We visited also Steinbrücker teich. I really enjoy biking around Darmstadt, it is so easy when most paths are just flat and there are many bike paths around. I must say that this area in Germany has more bike paths than Graz has around. It makes everything much easier when you don't have to bike on the street and car pass you with little distance and 70km/h.  Ludwigsteich Steinbrücker teich

Museum Jagdschloss Kranichstein

This post contains photos from two days but from the same place. In one day I went there with Michelle and the next day I took Dorian there. The park and the forest near Museum Jagdschloss Kranichstein are really beautiful. The day when I went with Dorian, we took a different bike route to reach here, and we were lucky enough to see some alpacas/lamas, I cannot really tell what they were. We also saw a nutria in the lake near the museum, they are also so cute.  Museum Jagdschloss Kranichstein Nutria
